PACKING LIST

At our meeting last week we read over the packing list that Jack Orgon sent us.  It was predictable in some ways.  We were told to bring 7 T-shirts, 3 pants, socks and underwear.  We knew all that.  We were surprised that we also would need warm clothes:  long underwear, hat, gloves, fleece jacket.  Although we knew we were heading into the mountains, we weren't thinking about being cold in August.

There were other surprises.  We were asked to bring two water bottles.  Carrying water to the worksite is essential because we are planning to WORK, and that means sweating and drinking.  Yeah, we knew that at one level.  The packing list drove the point home.  The work boots did the same.

And then there were the marshmallows.  They want us to each bring a bag of marshmallows to share with Romanian teens around a campfire.  That sounds really nice.
